Labonte to Throw Out First Pitch For World Series Champs
Labonte, Cheerios Dodge to Kick Off Sox vs. Sox Series in Chicago

LEVEL CROSS, N.C.- Bobby Labonte and the #43 Cheerios/Betty Crocker Dodge will help bring U.S. Cellular Field, home of the World Series Champion Chicago White Sox., to life this Friday, July 7. Labonte will drive his famed #43 Cheerios/Betty Crocker Dodge around the warning track and then throw out the first pitch for Friday night’s White Sox game against the 2004 World Series Champion Boston Red Sox.

“This is a great honor. I’m really thankful to the White Sox organization,” said Labonte. “I don’t plan on doing any burnouts near home plate or anything like that. They are a championship team. I just hope to bring my best to the mound.

“It’s going to be a special night with Boston in town,” continued Labonte. “It’s a sold out game, and I’m sure there will be a lot of excitement. Hopefully we can get the fans pretty excited with this Cheerios Dodge before the game. I’m looking forward to it.”

The game is scheduled to start at 7:35 local time. The game will be televised nationally by ESPN and locally on WCIU-TV. It is the first of a three-game series with Boston and part of a seven game home stand for the White Sox.
